It’s been nearly 40 years since Schellenbach played on and oversaw the recording of seminal Nip Drivers’ albums Destroy Whitey and Oh Blessed Freakshow waving the DIY punk flag alongside fellow South Bay bands Black Flag, Minutemen and Descendants. Having weathered more than fifteen minutes of Nip Driver fame with hilariously politically incorrect original songs and their “hit” cover versions of “Fox on the Run” (included on the “Desperate Teenage Lovedolls” soundtrack) and “Have You Ever Been Mellow,” he’s ready for a second go round with Labor Camp on this auspicious debut.
